Change of plans, new tool review

The Permitting process didn't go as well as I might have hoped. So I am going to have to switch to plan B, Which is a 12'X30' Prefab building. I will be making the best of a bad situation, but I believe that will be a good example of making a storage building into a functioning workshop. Anyway in other news, I have the New Kreg K5 jig on order. I plan to use and review it when Woodwerks supply gets it shipped out to me. New Shop Build Is On!!!

OK, guys its a Go for the new shop!!! I'm very excited to say the least. 

It will be a modest 16'X24', nothing too over the top but it will be a pretty nice shop when I am finished.

As you can see it will have a New Yankee workshop inspired sliding door. 

 Here is the proposed location staked out.

 I am getting the permits next week and I plan on updating weekly with the progress as the build goes on.

Budget Friendly Track Saw From Grizzly

I received my new 2013 Grizzly catalog today. I was thumbing though it, and saw Grizzly’s new tracksaw on page 248. They have the saw listed for $179.99 and the 55” guide rail for $49.99.  I personally have a Festool TS55 and wouldn’t take anything for it, but I though this might be something of interest for those who are wanting a tracksaw but a Festool is not in their budget.
